戏韵在心The sounds of Yue Opera stretch across time, and its spirit stays with us

越剧一九〇六年年诞生于浙江嵊州。它曲调优美，情感细腻，是中国第二大剧种，也是国家级非物质文化遗产。水袖、丝绸、二胡、琵琶、笛子。这些元素融在一起，唱爱情，唱离别，也唱重逢。
Yue Opera came to Canada slowly, the way water finds a new path: one voice, then another, then a small group. Today we are performers and teachers, keeping this art alive in this country.

东晋年间，祝英台女扮男装求学，途中结识梁山伯，同窗三载情谊渐深。十八里相送后，梁山伯方知其心，却已错过姻缘。最终二人生死相随，化蝶双飞。

学员和主演一起演的折子戏专场，在丁香花开的时候演出。
传薪·习韵Pass the Torch, Learn the Melody
目前在 Barrhaven 和 Kanata 各开设一个班，小班授课，每班不超过十人。每节课两小时：前一小时专攻基本功训练，后一小时学习剧目。
Classes run in Barrhaven and Kanata — one group per location, capped at ten students. Each two-hour session dedicates the first hour to fundamentals and the second to repertoire. Private instruction is also available one-on-one or in pairs.
